Sumic is developing a community app to connect people living in foreign countries.
When moving to a foreign country, many people want to connect and help each other with people from the same country. However, even if you go abroad, there are probably many people who find it difficult to find a way to connect with people from the same country.
Therefore, Sumic’s newly devised community app is “Aayubo”. Currently, we offer Aayubo apps in 5 countries around the world, and on a trial basis, we are developing it for Sri Lankans living abroad.
We currently offer this service for Sri Lankans living in Japan, Korea, Dubai, Italy and Qatar. We are preparing to offer this service to people of other nationalities in the future.
This app allows people of the same nationality to come together in one community. By providing services that people living in foreign countries need on a daily basis, Sri Lankan communities are formed in each country.
For example, for Sri Lankan people who cannot understand daily news, we translate the country’s news into Sri Lankan language and send it out. This will help you understand everyday information even if you don’t understand the language of the country.
In addition, we provide various services that people living abroad need, such as distributing information on domestic events, providing information from the embassy, helping each other with Sri Lankans, and a platform for buying and selling unwanted items.
This will bring Sri Lankan communities living abroad together and help each other.

Sumic provides a completely free online platform to help people in Sri Lanka. The platform acts as a direct link between those who seek goods and services and those who provide them.
Specific services include selling vegetables grown by individuals, looking for part-time jobs, and selling products for small businesses and sole proprietors. Through these services, people who need goods and services will be able to trade directly with those who provide them. Trading without intermediaries is expected to improve transaction efficiency and lower prices. In addition, those who provide goods and services will also be able to earn higher profits.
Sri Lanka faces economic hardship in 2022, leaving the people of the country in a difficult situation. Rising prices of foreign goods and services are making life difficult for low-income people. Through Sumic’s online platform, we hope that the efficiency of purchasing and selling products will lead to economic development for people in need.
Sumic aims to improve the economy of people and contribute to the economic development of the country. For that reason, we provide the service completely free of charge and focus on having people in Sri Lanka use it. We expect that smooth transactions of goods and services will lead to lower prices and revitalize the economy as a whole. Sumic exists to improve the lives of Sri Lankan people and help them cope with economic hardships.
